Annual Support Package

Friendly and knowledgeable technical support is available through Easypay's annual support package.

  • Updates — Each year Revenue Canada makes changes to the tax system and this requires updates to your payroll software. Your support package entitles you to all the payroll changes as they are released. Easypay typically releases two updates per year — in June and December.
  • Phone, Fax and Email Support — Unlimited telephone, fax and email support. Inquiries submitted by fax or email will receive a reply by the following business day. Our hours of operation are 9am — 5pm ET, Monday to Friday.
  • Newsletters — All registered customers also receive an Easypay newsletter, which is published twice a year. The newsletter provides helpful tips on using the software and also describes any new products or services available from Easypay.

Direct Deposit

In addition to printing cheques, Easypay allows you to create direct deposit / electronic funds transfer (EFT) files to deposit funds directly to your employee bank accounts.

Easypay interfaces to the direct deposit services of all major Canadian banks and credit unions.

Online Pay Stubs

Easystub is an optional feature that offers a secure, easy-to-use online solution that allows employees to view and print their pay stubs using any computer that has Internet access. For more information, please see: Easystub.

Record of Employment

Easypay automates the ROE process. Individual or batched ROEs can be printed on the government supplied forms or submitted to Service Canada using ROE Web.

Pay History

In addition to year-to-date totals, Easypay keeps the cheque stub information for every payroll cheque ever issued. This provides for exceptional audit and reporting capabilities.

Deductions and Benefits

Easypay calculates EI, CPP and tax for all provinces and territories. Contribution amounts for EHT (Ontario Employer Health Tax) and QHSF (Quebec Health Services Fund) are also calculated.

There are 40 user definable deductions and these can be taxable, non-taxable, a flat amount, a percentage of gross, or cents off each hour worked. The WCB premiums can be setup in this area.

There are 40 additional deductions and earnings available at timecard entry for occasional or varying amounts. The earnings can be defined as taxable or non-taxable.

The number of hourly and piecework rates is unlimited.

Multi-departmental Costing

Easypay allows for all of an employee's expenses to be charged to a home or assigned department. If desired, an employee's expenses can be allocated to as many departments as required. There is no limit on the number of departments per company.

Year-end Reports

At year-end, T4, T4A and Quebec RL-1 records are generated and ready to print.

Electronic Filing using XML: T4, T4A and RL-1

Easypay allows you to file T4, T4A and RL-1 information returns by Internet file transfer (XML).

Time Clock Interface / Customizer Module

The Customizer is an optional add-on module that includes the following features:

  • Import time clock records into Easypay
  • Update or create employee records using an ASCII import file
  • Generate custom ASCII files from Easypay data files
